CABANE AIGUILLE ROUGE TO CABANE BECS DE BOSSON

Bonus Peak:  Becca de Lovégno (2769m)  1km, 125m+/-

The stage begins with a downhill from the Cab. Aiguille Rouge. First sweeping down a rocky moonscape, past the Lac Bleu, an upward angling traverse, and finally dropping through larch forest into the small town of Evolène in Val d'Hérens.

In Evolène, consider the lunch options  before beginning the 1600 meter climb to the Pas de Lovégno and onward to the Cabane des Becs de Bosson.



Eat:
  • Midway through the run, there's the chance to restock snacks and have lunch in the valley town, Evolène.
  • The next grocery stop will be Zinal, the end point of Stage 5.

A short out and back for a higher viewpoint. Grade: T3

Sleep:

Cabane Becs de Bosson The incredible panorama at the 2985 meter hut reaches from Mont Blanc to the 4000 meter peaks of the Val d'Anniviers.

Refueled from a stop down in Evolène, it's time to go back up the opposite slope of the Val d'Hérens.

On the way to Cabane Becs de Bosson, the 6 day option joins the normal route here, on the climb to Col de la Tsevalire.

The Cabane Becs de Bosson is the overnight hut after stage 3. The Stage 4 bonus peak is just behind.
