In Evolène, consider the lunch options before beginning the 1600 meter climb to the Pas de Lovégno and onward to the Cabane des Becs de Bosson.
- Midway through the run, there's the chance to restock snacks and have lunch in the valley town, Evolène.
- The next grocery stop will be Zinal, the end point of Stage 5.

Leaving Cab. Aiguille Rouge with Mont Collon as a dramatic backdrop.
Speeding down to Evolène, you'll pass Lac Bleu, known for the color of its water, and La Giette, a hamlet with a yak farm...not your typical Swiss cows grazing on the hillside.
Refueled from a stop down in Evolène, it's time to go back up the opposite slope of the Val d'Hérens.
Larch forest cruising from Evolène.
Looking across the valley, we see where we've come from.
On the way to Cabane Becs de Bosson, the 6 day option joins the normal route here, on the climb to Col de la Tsevalire.
The Cabane Becs de Bosson is the overnight hut after stage 3. The Stage 4 bonus peak is just behind.
