PONTRESINA TO ST. MORITZ
22km 1131m+/1167m-
Depart from Pontresina directly under the chairlift Languard. Steep switchbacks bring you through the forest and into the high plateau of the Val Languard. A traversing climb stretches along the hillside above Pontresina to reach the Chamanna Segantini. From the hut, the trail drops along wide stone steps into the Val Muragl. Descending through the forest, you'll wrap nearly back to Pontresina before splitting into Muragl and crossing the Flaz. Lej da Staz is your next aim just before reaching the shore of Lej da San Murezzan and the final lakeside strides into the finish: St. Moritz.
Eat:
- The Chamanna Segantini is great places to settle-in for a snack and linger.
- When you arrive in St Moritz, it's time to celebrate, and recharge. Consider some extra days to indulge and explore the area.
HIGHLIGHT:
From the final stage, you can look into the Val Roseg, the long run out the previous day and down to the finish in St Moritz. You can also see the extended area you covered all along the Via Grischuna.
